Terms of Service
Last Updated: January 03, 2026
By purchasing a website package from SoloPage ("we", "us"), you ("the Client") agree to the following terms.
The Service
SoloPage agrees to build, host, and maintain a one-page website for your business. This includes domain registration (e.g., yourbusiness.ca), hosting, and SSL security. Maintenance includes basic updates to ensure functionality but excludes custom content changes or major redesigns, which may incur additional fees. If your preferred domain is unavailable, we will propose alternatives. Any premium domain fees are the Client's responsibility.
We aim to deliver the site within 2 business days of receiving all required content from you.
Payments & Recurring Billing
- Setup Fee: The one-time setup fee ($200 CAD) is paid upfront to initiate the work. All fees are in CAD and exclusive of applicable taxes, which will be added at checkout.
- Annual Subscription: The hosting and maintenance fee ($149 CAD) is billed automatically every 12 months from the date of your first payment. If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry and notify you. Unpaid accounts may be suspended after 30 days, with a 10% late fee. International clients are responsible for any currency conversion fees.
- Authorization: By providing your credit card, you authorize SoloPage (via Stripe) to charge these fees automatically. You will receive an email notification 7 days before any recurring renewal charge.
Refund Policy
- Setup Fee: Because the setup involves immediate manual labor and purchasing a domain name on your behalf, the $200 Setup Fee is non-refundable once we have sent you the "Your Site is Live" confirmation or purchased your domain.
- Annual Fee: You may request a full refund of the Annual Fee within 7 days of the renewal charge date. After 7 days, no refunds will be issued for the current year. No pro-rated refunds for partial years. Refunds for undelivered services will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
See the Cancellation section below for details on service continuation post-refund request.
Ownership & Domains
- Your Content: You retain full ownership of your business name, logo, photos, and text. By providing content, you grant SoloPage a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it solely for building and hosting your site.
- Your Domain: We register the domain in your name with you as the listed owner.
- Our Design: The underlying website design code and template license belong to SoloPage. You warrant that all provided content is original or properly licensed, and you indemnify SoloPage against any IP claims.
Cancellation
You may cancel your service at any time by emailing us at admin@solopage.ca. To avoid renewal charges, cancel at least 7 days before your renewal date.
If you cancel:
- Your website will remain online until the end of your current paid period.
- After that, the site will be taken offline.
- Upon cancellation, we will provide a copy of your site content upon request (e.g., via export).
- After the paid period, all data may be deleted.
- Cancellations can also be submitted via email to admin@solopage.ca.
Taking your domain: If you wish to leave SoloPage, we will unlock your domain and provide the transfer code so you can move it to another provider. We do not charge a "hostage fee" for releasing domains.
Limitation of Liability
SoloPage provides this service "as is." While we strive for 100% uptime, we are not liable for any lost business or revenue resulting from temporary website outages, third-party service failures (e.g., Google or Carrd issues), or internet disruptions.
We disclaim all warranties, express or implied. Liability is limited to the total fees paid in the last 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
Force majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond our control, such as acts of God, cyberattacks, or third-party outages.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms with 30 days' notice via email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, with disputes resolved in Toronto courts.
Indemnification
The Client indemnifies SoloPage for losses arising from their misuse of the service or content provided.
Entire Agreement
This is the full agreement; no oral modifications.
Severability
If one part is found to be invalid, the rest stands.
